Landing Tray Triangle

CNC machined solid wood tray

This is a raised triangle tray that captures the moment a tablecloth lands on a table. The tray seems to “land” gently above a solid base, with the geometry of the block revealed at the centre.

The rim follows a 3-dimensional Reuleaux triangle, finished with a subtle, transforming edge detail. The base form is generated from Johan Gielis’s Superformula to create a 3-sided superellipse. It comes in black painted red oak, and black walnut.
